The Director of Energy Finance & Accounting Service Center (EFASC) supports the mission of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and has the overall responsibility for providing Department-wide financial and support services related to general accounting, intra-governmental and inter-entity payments, billings and collections, investments, property, payroll, travel, financial systems, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end closings.  The EFASC director will ensure the efficiency, accuracy and integrity of the Department's accounting and financial operations and activities and for providing accounting and financial support to programmatic and other Departmental officials. In this capacity, the EFASC director is responsible for ensuring that the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990 and related Office of Management and Budget (OMB) implementing guidance are in conformance with governing statutory, regulatory, and other requirements, including the Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards.
